I was at the STS-133 NASA Social/Tweetup for final flight of Space Shuttle Discovery. About 100 members of social media were invited to watch the launch from the infamous press site near the countdown clock. It was such a moving experience to see a launch that close. Our kids are CRAZY about space now after literally growing up with a space program during their early years in Florida. I can’t wait to visit Discovery at Udvar-Hazy (Chantilly, VA) and go to one my most favorite places ever, the National Air and Space Museum in DC. Space history is awesome, and so glad to have a family that enjoys it too!

Isn’t she beautiful? I can’t believe her last flight to space was 2/24/2011. Here’s to you Discovery!

Made into a few of the NASA live feeds:

Above the second “R” in Perforce Software – BRIGHT YELLOW shirt, dark shoulder length hair (keeps turning around)

Above the 4:–, in countdown at 4:54 (Official Clock section)
