I decided to mix up our lunch box options recently by purchasing the Easy Lunch Boxes Food (Brights) Containers (buy) and Lunch Cooler. I really liked the idea of having lunch containers that take up less room in our cabinets. I gave the girls the option of selecting a lunch container and I picked one for myself since I needed a lunch that day too!

Inside the containers, we have the same lunch three different ways. One girl likes kiwi, the other does not. One likes bread, the other prefers pretzels most days and me – just give me some food! I sometimes sneak three pieces of a fruit or vegetable in with the foods they love, since we have a three bite rule in our house. Take three bites before deciding if you like it or not!

  • Pepperoni and Cheese on Pinwheels on Whole Wheat bread OR Pepperoni and Cheese with Pretzel Twists (Inside is some thinly sliced carrot)
  • Blueberries
  • Kiwi
  • Cantaloupes
  • Juice Box
  • Oreo
  • Snack: Raisins in Easy Lunch Box Mini-Dippers Container (buy)

Lunch with the girls - Easy Lunch Boxes & Sistema Lunch Cube

It has taken some time to get used to the layout of the ELB vs the Sistema Lunch Cubes (buy). I can fit everything I need including a mid-morning snack for the youngest in the Sistema Cube, but not in the ELB (unless I take out the juice box). This year, we provide the snack for our daughter, rather than the center she’s at.

I can see the ELB being great as the girls grow up and rely less on lots of small different food options. My oldest loves her Cube and my youngest loves the Easy Lunch Boxes container. I love that ELB take up less room in our cabinets, are sturdy, and they complement the size of the Sistema cube when I stack lunches in the refrigerator. (I stack the Cube on top of the large square area of the ELB.) I am also looking forward to trying out our ELB lunchbag for family outings in the future!
