I had my eye on a Paderno spiralizer after America’s Test Kitchen gave it rave reviews last year. Shortly after their reviews came out, they had a one day special on the spiralizer and I jumped on it, and we have had a lot of fun using it. We used it whenever possible with our zucchini harvest last summer. It works well with cucumbers as well, but I feel like it quadruples the amount of cucumber you get! (Excellent in salads.)

If you’re in the market to buy one, this is a really nice one. I totally dig the suction cup fit and three different blade options.

Even though the blades are a bit sharp, my kids love and actually get upset when I do not let them use it. (Slow and steady is the kiddos motto.)

Our favorite food to make is zoodles: zucchini noodles and garlic. Saute some garlic, and maybe some thin sliced onion if you’re feeling crazy then add in some spiralized zucchini. Cook for 2-3 minutes or more if you like, and add a few dashes of salt and pepper. Eat and voila, there you go you culinary genius you!

I paid about $25 on sale and the price fluctuates on Amazon for the Paderno tri-blade spiralizer (buy*), but I still think it’s at great deal when it’s under/around $30. It has a small footprint and does not take up much room.
