It is pretty awesome to come back from a few days away from home to see lots of delicious changes in the garden. Salad greens and beets had some nice growth. A few more tomatoes are coming along, and then the zucchini!

Then I spied a few of these hopping from flower to flower. Very cool to see the bees all covered in pollen. (Taken with my smartphone.) Trying to grow more pollinator friendly flowers in the yard to keep the bees happy.

Then I found our first zucchini growing!

There are a lot of flowers growing on the vines, so I guess I will take a peek and look for the male flowers and give fried squash blossoms a try! Here’s a couple ways to figure the male from the female blossoms. (TheKitchn.com, GardeningKnowHow.com)
