My name is Krissy and I married my high school sweetheart and we have  two children living in Pittsburgh, PA. Food is a passion and baking is a hobby. I like experimenting with traditional recipes as well as trying new trends. For every success there is usually a failure, but in the end everyone wins because well…there’s probably sugar in it!

I love being back in my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsyvlania because there’s so many restaurants to try and places to buy food. Join me on our culinary adventures in and out of the kitchen!

Baking Background:

I won Parenting’s cookie contest a few years back with the ‘Million Dollar Cookie‘ recipe, and I’ve guest spotted a few times under the name, ‘The Guest Baker’ over at Fotocuisine.com.

In 2009, I was also selected as a finalist in Parenting Magazine’s Cookie Bakeoff Bonanza with my Key Lime Cookies.

Out of the Kitchen:

I’m a geek at heart and enjoy lots of different things, but a new love is running. I started the Couch to 5k program in August 2009 and have been running approximately one 5k race each month since November 2009. I think it’s a great form of relaxation and exercise. It gets me out of the house and I get indulge in one of my other loves, electronic dance music.
