vermicelli_eggroll.jpgIt’s been really cold here in Pittsburgh, and I was hungry for something warm. I was torn between a nice warm bowl of pho or tracking down some yummy bun/Bún chả giò (vermicelli with egg roll). The last time Dave tried to take me Tram’s, it was closed for renovations so finally, a long time later I got to go!

Tram’s Kitchen is located in Bloomfield, up near Children’s Hospital. It’s a family run, hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant. We started with some fresh shrimp spring rolls that were very well constructed (not falling apart after each bite) and delicious. For our lunch we had the Vermicelli with Egg Roll. It was very fresh tasting and dipping sauce that is sometimes served on the side was already added to the dish.

I would definitely go back, so give it a shot if you are ever in the area!
