Chocolate Cutout Cookie Off-white sugar cookies are not the only cookies you can use for making cutout cookies. I wanted to change things up and try a Chocolate Cutout Cookie. We’ve been slowly amassing a pile a cookie cutters, so why not give it a shot with the kids?

I really like the flavor and texture of the cookie, but I seem to be the minority in my family. (They wanted there to be chocolate chips in it? I put a glaze on it!) The recipe was easy to make, even if the dough was really sticky – easily fixed with more flour or cocoa powder.

These cookies would make great bats at Halloween, or in the case of these cookies an elegant, simple chocolate cookie like below. Also a great cookie to pack and ship during the holidays (as seen above).
